This is probably one of the items I’m really itching to get my hands on this coming year. All the possibilities that I can see myself using it for both at home as well as in the classroom. Seeing the potential with our robotics class as well as use with the GoPro’s on campus and the additional uses in the STEM classes… I’m excited at the various ideas that have been discussed using this device.

The Myo gesture and motion control armband lets you use the movements of your hands to effortlessly control your phone, computer, and so much more.

Myo armband senses gesture and motion control to seamlessly interpret what your hands and fingers are doing, and transmits that information over Bluetooth to communicate with your favourite digital devices.

What is Sphero?

Coming Soon…

Sphero 2B takes on a new form factor, drives like it’s from the future, comes with interchangeable parts like tires and hubcaps for different terrain, and will launch with accessories for advanced gameplay. Powered with AI Superdrive capabilities, 2B is unreasonably fast and maneuverable. With only two points of contact, 2B can turn on a dime, launch off steep inclines, and tumble unlike anything you’ve seen.

Sphero 2B is also made for open play and is designed to inspire future inventors like Sphero’s young co-founders. And just like Sphero Original, Sphero 2B offers awesome new ways to play. Not just with its driving, programming, and multiplayer apps, but also by inspiring imagination through a robot that is completely programmable. We’re even working to have built-in infrared technology that will offer interactive and multiplayer gameplay.

So after attending FETC this past week, I think it’ll blogging about 30 posts just to share all the information that I learned. Such a wonderful experience, I would suggest that educators around the area attend this event even if for a day to absorb all the energy and ideas that are available.

So at the start of the conference they have an event called TECH Share LIVE where a panel of 4 experts: Kathy Schrock, Hal Davidson, Leslie Fisher and Adam Bellow’s discuss their favorite tech discoveries for this coming year.

Here is one of my favorites from the Tech Share LIVE.

All the presentation can be found though on Edmodo
